\nThe Big Bend Film Commission<\/strong> was created to find filmmakers and\u00a0bring their productions to our part of West Texas by providing help finding film locations, production services, and talent.<\/p>\n

Because we have members who have worked in the film business, yet somehow ended up\u00a0in the Big Bend, we understand the many ever-changing nuances of any film shoot. We are funded in part by local governments and businesses, so we can provide unrivaled cooperation throughout the area, as well as insider access to locations.<\/p>\n

We work with law enforcement\u00a0and government agencies to maximize communication and\u00a0cooperation.\u00a0We\u00a0offer information on local film crew personnel, help with location scouts,\u00a0and\u00a0provide local contact with\u00a0those who filmmakers need to meet.<\/p>\n

Unlike many film commissions, we do not\u00a0bring producers into the area and then leave them to fend on their own.\u00a0 We pledge continuing support throughout production.<\/p>\n

John Green, Director & Co-Founder<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former owner of Alpine’s Digital Studio and the FedEx Ship Center, John has served on the Alpine Chamber of Commerce Board and was President of Alpine\u2019s Gallery Night.<\/p>\n

Before moving to Alpine in 1999, John worked in Los Angeles where he produced spots for Klasky-Csupo Commercials and Boeing, and worked on projects for HBO, Warner Bros, and Disney. He served as Editel\u2019s Executive Producer and completed work for Columbia\u2019s The Cable Guy<\/em>, HBO\u2019s Soul of the Game<\/em>, and The Crime of the Century<\/em>. John produced the Emmy award winning title for the television series Strange Universe Tonight<\/em>, and was the Visual Effects Supervisor for HBO’s acclaimed Soul of the Game<\/em>. He also produced commercials and promos at MetroLight Studios.<\/p>\n

John’s company, Garber-Green, produced visual effects for Universal Television, and features for horror film director George Romero. John also produced commercials for EUE\/ScreenGems, was the Executive Producer at the innovative MidOcean Motion Pictures, and worked on Star Trek the Motion Picture<\/em> in visual effects. His experience encompasses commercials, series, features, MOWs, and corporate films on shooting stages and locations in every state, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
