Pepsi MidAmerica is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in financial statement preparation, monthly closings, and budget support for one of the nation’s most respected independent Pepsi bottlers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements for designated departments
Create and post monthly journal entries as part of the closing process
Reconcile assigned general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
Research discrepancies and post adjustments as needed
Assist departments in preparing operating and capital budgets
Maintain and oversee departmental checkbooks
Research variances between actual and budgeted figures
Meet regularly with department leaders to review performance and financial updates
Assist with audits including financial, benefit plans, workers’ compensation, and tax filings
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
3–5 years of accounting experience preferred
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities
