**BD Expression Tech Co-Op**

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

+ Run experiments under manager supervision to develop/optimize processes for iPSC/ESC expansion and differentiation and cell characterization;

+ Learn to operate flow cytometers and perform flow cytometry data analysis;

+ Learn phase contrast microscopy and fluorescent microscopy;

+ Develop skills for experimental design, execution, and data analysis;

+ Present results in a team setting.

**WHO YOU ARE**

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

+ Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor undergraduate program with a preferred focus in mammalian cell biology (including stem cell biology), biochemical engineering,etc;

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills;

+ Basic science problem solving skills;

+ Ability to work effectively with members of the same and higher organizational levels;

+ Good organization, documentation, prioritization, and scheduling skills together with an overall desire to learn;

+ Ability to work independently and multi-task;

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office with beginner levelproficiencywith Word,Exceland PowerPoint;

+ Demonstratedpotential for technicalproficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independentlythrough an equivalent combination of education andexperience;

+ Aseptic laboratory technique.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Basic knowledge of working in a BSL 2 laboratory

+ Flow cytometry

+ Microscopy
