Goldenrod is a dynamic and growing commercial real estate company with a strong focus on development, acquisitions, and asset management. We are currently seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as Construction Counsel . This role is designed to support our growing construction activity, including a new joint venture with a concrete company that is expected to scale quickly. The position will focus on negotiating and managing construction-related legal matters across our affiliated entities, including Goldenrod, Aurum, and Oline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including design, build, and subcontractor agreements
• Provide legal guidance on construction-related risk, claims, and compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to support development and construction execution
• Provide support for dispute resolution and litigation matters, including coordination and supervision of the work of outside counsel, managing discovery, preparing and reviewing legal documents and providing input on strategy.
• Support Goldenrod’s broader legal needs as needed, under direct oversight from senior leadership

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on construction law, contract negotiation, or real estate development.
• Prior litigation experience is preferred, but not required,
• In-house or firm experience advising on construction or commercial development projects preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Highly collaborative with strong communication and organizational skills

Location:

This is a full-time role based in our Omaha, NE office. The ability to work onsite is important for collaboration and oversight.
