BMS Moving & Storage, Agents for Bekins Van Lines, within the Bekins/Wheaton system, one of America’s largest and most respected moving and storage companies, is hiring! We are looking to hire experienced, courteous, and committed Drivers/Helpers/Laborers/Packers to join our fast-paced energetic team of nationwide employees in our Wilkes-Barre, PA branch.

As a Helper/Laborer/Packer , you will be responsible for following:

• Assisting the Crew leader in getting the truck ready in the morning prior to leaving for the job
• Packing/wrapping customers belongings into boxes
• Carrying items out of residence to be loaded onto the truck/into the storage pallets
• Warehouse work
• Assisting warehouse foreman in getting trucks ready for jobs
• Helping off load trucks and making sure the job is complete and is ready to be put into storage
• Palletizing any Household goods shipments that are brought into the warehouse
• Sweeping floors/trash removal from the warehouse

As a company Driver , you will be responsible for managing the move process; supervise field labor; deal with the customers and operations; complete paperwork for each shipment; drive the truck; assist in packing and loading when needed.

To be eligible as a company Driver, the following driver qualification requirements for prospective contractors and sub-drivers must be met (among others):

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Shall be competent by reason of experience or training to safely operate the type of vehicle he/she will be driving in transmitting Bekins’ shipments. This must include 6 months verifiable experience with a major van line or an acceptable local moving company.
• Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, must understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, and to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on various reports and records.
• Must pass Physical Qualifications and Examinations to be qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSR 391 Subpart E. Must also pass company background screening.
