The North Dakota State Electrical Board will be hiring a full-time non-temporary Elevator Mechanic Inspector in the State of North Dakota. Successful applicant may also need to work in assigned areas across the state. Minimum qualifications: ASME QE-1 certification, a high school graduate with elevator trade school degree. A licensed Elevator Mechanic or capable of attaining a North Dakota elevator mechanic's license within a specified timeline. Must have a firm knowledge of ASME, ASSP, ANSI, ASCE Elevator Codes and Safety Standards and the North Dakota Laws, Rules and Wiring Standards/Elevator Codes. Minimum of 10 years' experience in the elevator industry. Ability to be a problem solver with excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills. Ability to learn computer systems, read and understand schematics and blueprints. Must be a self-starter committed to time management, highly motivated, teamwork, high quality customer service and be able to multi-task projects. Flexible scheduling (such as working nights and weekends) and overnight travel are required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolds, and follow department's safety procedures. Must possess a valid ND driver's license. Must successfully complete standard background and criminal record check.
