Requirements

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the medical director of emergency services and CEO, provides and manages direct healthcare for emergency department patients.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proof of highest education level, at least high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical, medical history check, and background investigation.
• Current certification or active participation in emergency medicine certification process by ABEM or ABOEM; OR completion of at least 3 years of training in an ACGME/AOA accredited program in family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, or equivalent, with 2 years of ED experience in an ED with 8,000+ visits annually.
• Maintain current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Understanding of computer systems, process design, and data management.
• Professional appearance and the ability to perform essential job functions physically and mentally, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech or other electronic medical records systems.
