Executive Underwriter

Location: Hybrid (New York City or Chicago)

Position Overview: My client is seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter to join our growing team. This opportunity offers quick career growth, a competitive compensation package including base and bonus, and can be worked on a hybrid basis out of New York City or Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a $13 million book focused on excess coverage for top 100-250 law firms and accountants, with plans to expand beyond these segments.
• Conduct frequent underwriting meetings, primarily renewals.
• Represent my client at group meetings.
• Handle miscellaneous professional lines, including managing consultants.
• Manage policies blended with cyber coverage.

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of experience with Management or Professional Liability (preferably Lawyers or Accountants Professional Liability).
• Experience with large accounting or law firms.
• Broker's license (or willingness to obtain it).
• Drive to grow the book.
• Experience working with top 100-250 firms.
• Retailer relationships with brokerages.
• Exposure with brokers is helpful.
