Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical intern to assist the CFO in a variety of day-to-day functions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, modeling, data analytics, and reporting. This position will also introduce you to enterprise tools and allow you to learn practical knowledge of the inner workings of SME. Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses under the guidance of the CFO.
  • Perform Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with Reporting: Help generate monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Participate in Strategic Projects: Contribute to ongoing projects that may involve pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, or market research.
  • Learn Enterprise Systems: Gain exposure to enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools and other financial systems used by small to mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).
  • Support Day-to-Day Financial Tasks: Assist with reconciliations, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and organizing financial records.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with operations, sales, and other teams to gather relevant data and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Prepare Presentations: Create clear, data-driven presentations and summaries for senior leadership review. 2
  • Participate in Learning Sessions: Take part in workshops or training sessions designed to provide foundational knowledge of SME finance operations.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance Management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Understanding of the distribution industry and its operational metrics
