Fundraising Coordinator Job Description 2025-26 Title: Fundraising Coordinator Status: Part-Time, Hours: (vary, but approximately 8-12 hours per week on average, somewhat seasonal, includes some summer hours). Much of the role can be completed remotely/from home. Report to: Head of School Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel and this job description. Summary: The CCA Fundraising Coordinator, under the general supervision of the Head of School, is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate sponsors, major donors, and community partners. This position focuses on securing both monetary and in-kind support through personalized outreach, solicitations, and stewardship efforts. The coordinator will play a key role in growing the school's donor base, maintaining strong relationships with existing sponsors, and ensuring continued support for the school's mission. This role requires strategic communication, effective relationship-building, and a passion for advancing the school's fundraising goals. This position also requires an individual who is highly motivated, relationship-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the school leadership and external stakeholders. Required Personal Qualities The fundraising coordinator shall: Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior. Believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living. Be in whole-hearted agreement with Covenant Christian Academy's Statement of Faith (Doctrinal Position). Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. (Luke 6:40) This includes being committed to God's biblical standards for sexual conduct. Be a Christian who is, and will remain during the period of employment, an active member of a Christ-centered church, growing in his/her Christian relationship with God, and actively practicing and exhibiting Christian principles of the Christian faith; seek to role-model in speech, actions, and attitude a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ; set an example of the importance of spiritual discipline; and encourage students in the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and growing in their faith. Refuse to use or circulate confidential information inappropriately. Have some flexibility to travel to meetings with sponsors and donors during the work week. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Sponsor and Donor Solicitation: Identify, research, and approach potential corporate sponsors, major donors, and community partners to secure financial and in-kind support for the school's initiatives. Develop personalized proposals and solicitation strategies tailored to the interests of each sponsor or donor. Relationship Building and Stewardship: Cultivate long-term relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring they feel valued and engaged with the school's mission. Regularly communicate with donors and sponsors through meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence to keep them informed of the school's progress and express gratitude for their support. Provide and support a systematic plan of gratitude and acknowledgment for donors Develop a donor stewardship plan to ensure ongoing engagement and commitment. Fundraising Strategy Development: Work closely with the Head of School and senior leadership to create and implement strategic annual fundraising plans to meet the school's financial goals.. Maintain whole school fundraising events calendar to ensure a cohesive school approach to asks and appreciation. Identify new opportunities for sponsorship and like-minded partnerships. Reflect on current strategies and propose changes for the year ahead. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, sponsorship agreements, and contributions. Track progress towards fundraising goals and provide regular updates to the Head of School and the board. Event Support (Non-Planning): Assist with coordinating sponsorships and donor engagement for fundraising events, ensuring that sponsors and donors are properly acknowledged and involved. Support the lead events when it comes to the fundraising/sponsor aspects (ie: Grandparent chapels, Bingo, 5K, Giving Tuesday, etc) Event Planning: Possible fundraising Gala (if in a capital campaign) - supported by the Board committee Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the communications team to create marketing materials and promotional strategies aimed at attracting and retaining donors and sponsors. Utilize social media, newsletters, and other platforms to communicate the school's fundraising needs and successes. Collaboration with Staff and Volunteers: Work closely with school staff and volunteers to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising, providing them with the necessary tools and support for donor engagement. Continual Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on best practices in fundraising and donor relations, attending relevant conferences, seminars, and professional development opportunities to improve fundraising skills and strategies.
