About the Role

We're hiring a General Production Worker in our Upholstery Department to join our manufacturing team.

This role is responsible for operating manual machinery to cut, shape, and assemble foam components used in manufacturing cushions. This role requires interpreting design specifications and maintaining quality and precision to ensure foam parts meet strict standards before they are assembled into final products. Ensures timely completion of all assigned batches each day to meet production targets. This is a hands-on position that requires technical skill, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

DEPARTMENTAL DUTIES :

• Size, glue, and assemble dacron and foam cores in accordance with established standards.
• Inspect all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
• Ensure a consistent flow of completed work to enable fillers to operate efficiently and effectively.
• For new products, inspect upholstered articles to verify conformance to company's and/or customer's work order or company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Load and unload equipment and material.
• Support the Upholstery department when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALITY:

• Quality must always be a top priority.

SAFETY :

• Comply with all OSHA and company safety policies, other polices & procedures.
• Understand thoroughly the Company's worker and work place safety policies and procedures.
• Report all safety hazards or concerns to your supervisor or the Production Manager or the Safety Manager to correct.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with accurate measurement of foam materials using hand tools or measuring equipment
• Basic math skills for accurate measure foam materials

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and read in English and Spanish

Production/warehouse setting with varying temperatures and exposure to dust/foam particles. PPE provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, work around fumes and airborne particles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse or light manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
