Looking for a Head of Engineering/Founding Engineer who understands the value of equity, really is all in on the startup life and is willing to hustle move and shake and make things happen like the rest of the founders to ensure their success. Need folks who know the startup world, been part of early-stage or ground-floor startups in the past and can be hands-on ~50%+ of the time in the beginning.

Looking for people who have a track record of being all about startups and need to be able to be hands on, will put this person through technical assessments and will ask them to write code in the interview.

We're looking for a highly technical, hands-on Head of Engineering to join our rapidly growing pre-Series A startup. You'll step into a founding engineer role, driving architecture and leading our small, dynamic engineering team with radical ownership, deep passion, and a true founder's mentality. This role requires intense dedication, ownership, and a willingness to go deep into technical work daily while evolving toward strategic leadership as we move toward our Series A funding.

About the Role:

As Head of Engineering, you will be deeply involved in daily development, working closely with our frontend built in TypeScript/React.js, backend in GO, and mobile apps using React Native. Initially, this role demands extensive hands-on coding and technical leadership, but will naturally transition toward a strategic and managerial focus as we approach and secure our Series A.

• About the Role: Architect and develop scalable solutions across frontend (React.js/TypeScript), backend (GO), and mobile (React Native).
• Lead and mentor a small, dedicated engineering team, leveraging your experience managing or leading small teams previously.
• Act as a technical visionary, making crucial architectural decisions and actively contributing daily to the codebase.
• Integrate and implement AI-driven solutions into our platform, leveraging your understanding of data-heavy platforms.
• Continuously balance the immediate need to deliver a functional, market-ready product with thoughtful, scalable technical decisions.
• What You Bring: Proven experience managing or leading small engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong full-stack development skills, ideally in TypeScript/React.js and/or GO.
• Experience architecting scalable systems from scratch.
• Familiarity with mobile application development using React Native.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies and hands-on experience integrating AI solutions into platforms.
• Experience developing data-intensive and ideally consumer-facing (B2C) or “marketplace” focused products.
• A strong inclination to remain hands-on in development and coding daily, especially during the initial phase.
• The foresight and leadership capacity to transition smoothly into a more strategic managerial role post-Series A all while still remaining highly technical
