Hospitalist Physician at Ascend Medical Staffing summary:

Seeking experienced board-certified internal medicine hospitalists for short-term inpatient shifts in rural Gila County, Arizona. Candidates must have active Arizona medical licenses, ACLS certification, and demonstrated proficiency in emergent procedures like intubations and line placements. Assignments include 24-hour shifts with provided travel, lodging, meals, and malpractice insurance, supporting underserved rural communities.

Urgent: Multiple Hospitalists needed in Rural Arizona; Competitive Rate Location: Central Arizona, Gila County, City of Globe, approximately 85 miles east of Phoenix Dates Needed:

• 9/5 - 9/21
• 9/26 - 10/24
• 11/21 - 11/28 (Thanksgiving)

Details:

• Setting: Inpatient Hospital
• Shifts: noon to noon 24 hr shifts, 12+ hours on 12 hours Call (on site sleeping arrangements and meals)
• Requirements:
  • BE/BC IM/Hospitalist
  • Active, clean Arizona License
  • Clean DEA & NPDB (no current suits or unresolved cases)
  • Must commit to minimum of one 4-7 day placement unless otherwise noted. (Can accept more than one provider to cover the 3+ weeks)
  • Must be skilled at emergent intubations, vents, lines (must sign off that you are qualified & experienced)
  • Must have ACLS certification
  • Must have rigorous hospitalist experience and submit logs for previous 12 months showing at least a handful of the aforementioned emergent procedures.
  • Must arrive early for 4 hr orientation (weekend-evening prior; weekday-morning of)
  • Must be committed to small town, rural/remote and underserved populations
