Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will supervise maintenance employees during the 2nd shift. Your role will involve ensuring production and plant equipment are maintained efficiently. You will respond promptly to equipment issues and take charge of shift programs, including recording scheduled preventive maintenance tasks. You will also support facility upgrades and repairs and work collaboratively with Mold Setters and other Operations departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees on the 2nd shift.
• Maintain and repair injection molding equipment in an automotive industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
• Respond promptly to equipment issues.
• Ensure the completion of 5S in operational areas.
• Record scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support facility upgrades and repairs.
• Collaborate with Mold Setters and other Operations departments.
• Conduct root cause analysis.

Essential Skills

• Experience in maintenance technician roles.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints.
• Skill in troubleshooting electrical issues across various voltage levels.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Experience operating basic shop tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrical License preferred.
• Experience with a variety of equipment including light assembly, plastic welding technology, injection molding machines, slush machines, foam-in-place equipment, and robots.
• Welding experience.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Must be able to pass a color acuity exam.

Work Environment

Work in a unionized manufacturing environment with temperature control. The role includes a shift differential with work hours on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm or on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, ideally spanning 5-6 days a week.

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43472.00 - $62192.00/yr.
