The Carroll County Public Library is on the lookout for a dedicated part-time Library Assistant who will engage with library patrons, providing them with support for materials, equipment usage, and fulfilling various informational requests. The role also entails re-shelving returned items and taking on additional tasks as designated by library management.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with the physical capability to lift up to 10 pounds, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and stoop frequently. This position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, which will include some evening and weekend shifts. Previous experience in libraries, proficiency in computer skills, and a background in customer service are highly desirable.
