Job Title Locksmith FLSA Status Non‑Exempt, Hourly Location New York, NY As a Locksmith on the Stuytown Locksmith team, you’ll troubleshoot and make improvements to the place our residents call home. What you will do Perform routine locksmith work regarding repining cylinders and cutting keys. Installation of apartment entry door cylinders, locks and hardware. Repair apartment and common area doors. Diagnosis and repair (replacement as needed) the hardware related to doors, locks and keyed access locations. Repair and replacement of all windows and glass. Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor. What you should have 3‑5+ years of trade experience in similar work. Trade school graduation or equivalent education is a plus. Some computer skills necessary to manage work order system. Able to multi‑task under high pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Good time management and organizational skills. Weekends or overtime required on occasion. A strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. A belief that doing the right thing is the only option, no matter how difficult it might be. A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day. A valid Driver's License must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program. Ability to use tablet‑based work order program to complete assigned work orders. Basic–Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Overtime is available and required in emergency situations. Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.). Base Salary: $25.45 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.)
