Job Description
We are recruiting for an established non-profit firm in need of an Administrative Assistant with a valid Notary certification. Strong MS Office/technical skills as well as the ability to transcribe is needed. Previous legal experience would be helpful
This role will also require the person to transition with the company to their new offices in Yonkers, NY by the end of the spring.
Responsibilities would include:
• Processing marriage cases, assisting with scheduling/correspondence, preparing/tracking letter & decrees
• Perform as a Notary for all formal testimonies taken and transcribe/type testimonies when necessary
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and professionalism of all materials produced
• Answer phones and interact with clients, staff and senior individuals
Requirements:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to transcribe recorded testimony, or willingness to learn
• Flexibility and willingness to assist others in the office
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
