Job Description

About Sunrise

The Sunrise Group is transforming sleep care with a clear mission: making good sleep accessible to all. Founded in 2015, we've grown from a small team developing innovative home sleep tests into pioneers of end-to-end sleep solutions.

Our company operates through two complementary approaches: we create innovative sleep diagnostics and treatments, while our digital sleep clinic, Dreem Health, connects patients directly with sleep specialists through telehealth. This eliminates the typical barriers patients face — long wait times, inconvenient overnight lab testing, and fragmented care.

Together, we're tackling one of healthcare's biggest unmet needs — while over 1 billion people worldwide struggle with sleep disorders, only 5% currently receive proper treatment. Our approach makes quality sleep care accessible, efficient, and effective. Backed by Amazon's Alexa Fund and $35M in funding, we're just getting started.

Your Dream Role Awaits

We're looking for a dedicated and driven full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our mission of delivering exceptional sleep care. In this role, you'll be a vital part of the clinical team—screening, diagnosing, and treating patients struggling with sleep issues. We're seeking someone who's not only skilled, but deeply committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on each patient's health and well-being through clinical excellence. Join a vibrant and supportive environment with a growing team of 15+ practitioners, including both MDs and NPs, who are passionate about advancing sleep health.

Rise to the challenge

  • Providing comprehensive sleep medicine care via telemedicine
  • Thoroughly documenting patient interactions using our customized EHR
  • Applying appropriate billing procedures
  • Participating in quality control and improvement activities
  • Returning patient messages and calls in a timely fashion
  • Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Keeping current with and following AASM guidelines and clinic medical protocols in your clinical care and decisions

Our Dream Health Candidate Has:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience of direct patient care
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sleep or sleep medicine is required for candidates who wish to start within one month.

Note: Applicants without prior sleep experience must enroll in the Dreem Health Academy program — a paid, 4-week training course. Completion of this course is mandatory before beginning any work with patients.

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • A CA APRN License AND one or more additional state licenses are required
  • An active CA Furnishing license and an active DEA license (eligible to DEA license)
  • Must be able to work full time, a minimum of 36 hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
  • A Patient-Focused Approach - This role requires a high level of empathy and understanding of patients' needs. You will strive to provide exceptional patient service and support throughout their care journey.
  • Excellent Communication Skills - Strong communication is key for interacting with patients, providers, and internal teams. Your ability to clearly relay complex medical information and accurately convey patient feedback is crucial.
  • Proactive, Innovative and Tech-Friendly - We seek a proactive, innovative thinker. You will identify areas for improvement, contributing to service enhancements.
  • Critical Thinking Skills - Always challenge the status quo. We can and we need to improve continuously the way we deliver care, and shape the patient experience
  • Goes the Extra Mile to ensure a perfect patient experience, providing high quality service is in your DNA and you enjoy contributing to a memorable customer experience. You also have a good presentation and perfect communication skills.
  • Prioritization Skills - In this multifaceted role, strong prioritization and time management skills are crucial. You will be tasked with juggling various responsibilities, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Flexibility in the role - We need someone who has the ability and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances, environments, tasks, and requirements. It involves being open-minded, versatile, and responsive to the evolving needs of the job and the organization.
