We are seeking a detail-oriented and security-conscious Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming mail and packages to ensure compliance with safety protocols and security regulations. Your primary duty will be to identify and report any suspicious or prohibited items while maintaining efficiency in mail processing.
Screen and inspect incoming mail and packages using X-ray machines, scanners, and other security equipment.
Identify prohibited, suspicious, or hazardous materials and follow proper escalation procedures.
Follow all security guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
Maintain detailed records of inspected items and report any security concerns.
Assist in sorting and distributing mail/packages as needed.
Collaborate with security teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements regarding mail security.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in mail screening, security, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with X-ray screening equipment and mail security procedures is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize irregularities.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move packages up to 50 lbs.
