Job Summary

Doubletree by Hilton is seeking a Part-time Painter to join our team. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the appearance and esthetics of our hotel. This role requires an individual with a strong commitment to excellence. Essential Job Functions

The hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands may require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

• Exterior & Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the hotel’s exterior, interior and curb appeal.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and emergency protocols.
• Incident Reporting: Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, or property damage promptly to the supervisor.
• Team Collaboration: Assist other engineering personnel as needed and perform related duties as requested by supervisors or managers.
• General Responsibilities: Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with hotel grooming standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Painters often need to perform tasks that require physical strength and stamina, such as climbing ladders, working in awkward positions, and lifting heavy objects.
• Thoroughness and precision are crucial for achieving a quality finish, whether it's applying paint, hanging wallpaper, or preparing surfaces.
• Understanding how colors interact, and the characteristics of different paint finishes is helpful.
• Painters need to be aware of safety protocols, especially when working with hazardous materials or at heights.
• Being able to effectively communicate with clients about their needs and preferences is essential for customer satisfaction.
• Painters may encounter various challenges on the job, such as surface imperfections or unexpected issues, and need to be able to find solutions.

Physical Demands

• Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods while performing essential duties.
• Environmental Flexibility: Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet conditions, and able to stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb on various surfaces, including ladders up to 30 feet.
• Sensory Abilities: Adequate hearing and vision to observe and respond to emergency situations or potential hazards.
• Strength & Dexterity: Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 100 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
• Physical Stamina: Frequent twisting, bending, standing, walking, and other physical tasks required for the role.
• Communication: Able to engage in verbal communication and provide clear directions, as well as maintain professional non-verbal cues such as smiling.
