We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our client's team in Leesport, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals who excel in financial management and are passionate about maintaining accurate records. The role involves handling critical accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Prepare and issue invoices while maintaining thorough records of sales and cost reports.
• Perform cost accounting tasks to assess financial efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to organize and analyze financial data.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions align with bank statements.
• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or business related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
