The Alexandria VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time, BC/BE, Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician to serve as a member of its Primary Care Team in Jennings, LA. Founded as a railroad depot midway between the larger cities of Lafayette and Lake Charles, Jennings today offers plenty of reasons to stop and explore. Cajun heritage thrives in local restaurants, music venues and festivals. Birding, hunting and water sports abound in the countryside, while downtown offers a host of unique attractions. Highlights of this position include:

• Competitive Starting Salary: $240,000-$250,000
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm
• This position is telehealth eligible (virtual visits - video, remote care by telephone)
• Provide care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily in an outpatient setting
• Responsible for all facets of acute patient care
• Assist in completing quality management reviews
• Responsible for the successful achievement of applicable Performance Measures and Monitors in his/her areas of responsibility
• Participate actively in the peer review process and complete Physician's reviews on time

Additional Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in FM/IM
• Experience in Primary Care
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

• This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), if approved
• Recruitment/Relocation may be authorized for highly qualified candidates
• No Physician Employment contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
