About the Role
The Company is in search of a Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs to serve as its chief academic officer. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with the ability to balance and prioritize, possessing the discernment to assess, modify, and define a path for the institution. This role involves working closely with faculty and staff to ensure the integrity and vitality of the academic enterprise, overseeing all aspects of faculty and academic administrator management, and participating in the development and implementation of the strategic plan. The Provost will also be responsible for curricular development, accreditation, assessment, and general education, and must be prepared to engage in fundraising activities. Applicants for the Provost position at the company should hold a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, with a preference for those who have achieved tenure and full professorship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic administration, including experience in managing academic budgets and processes, and a deep understanding of the unique teaching-learning environment. Strong communication skills, a collaborative leadership style, and a proven record of faculty advocacy are essential. The role requires a leader who is student-first, then faculty-oriented, and who is adept at strategic planning, program review, and assessment. Experience in regional and specialized accreditation processes, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a collective bargaining and shared governance environment, is also necessary.
