Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our remote Pharmacy Team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in pharmacy support, assistance to the pharmacists, patients, and providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering calls from providers and taking verbal orders for prescriptions.
  • Assisting with incoming phone call traffic, and handing off calls related to patient counseling/questions to remote pharmacists.
  • Maintain up-to-date communications with central fill pharmacy partner, CMM, to address customer concerns with their prescription orders.
  • Initiate electronic prescriber outreach requests and follow-up on received responses.
  • Process prescription orders, inputting information accurately into the computer system.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of information (including address and/or allergy information updates).
  • Follow pharmacy regulations and protocols to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on pharmacy practices and developments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
  • Previous experience in customer support, service, or success roles, preferably in healthcare and/or high-growth startups (1+ years).
  • Must be a highly productive individual, able to work from home without supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on details.
  • Adaptable to take on additional responsibilities as the role develops over time.
