iOS Engineer (React Native) – Build the Future of Information Discovery

Comp: $160K - $175K plus equity

this vision to life—and we need a talented iOS Engineer with React Native expertise to help

us do it.

About the Role

As our iOS Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and optimizing our mobile app

(iOS-first) using React Native, while also contributing to the web-based dashboard a

interface using React. You’ll work closely with our product and design teams to build a

visually compelling, smooth, and scalable experience for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain our iOS mobile app using React Native (and eventually support Android as well).
  • Build and optimize the web-based dashboard & interface, ensuring a seamless cross-platform experience.
  • Collaborate with designers and product teams to create a polished, intuitive, and high-performing UI/UX.
  • Ensure app responsiveness, stability, and performance, optimizing for different device types.
  • Implement new features while ensuring smooth integration with our backend and knowledge graph.
  • Work with APIs and data visualization to enhance user interactions.
  • Continuously improve the codebase, implement best practices, and stay updated on emerging technologies.

Must-Have:

  • Experience in iOS development (React Native preferred, but Swift experience is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.j
  • Experience with building, deploying, and optimizing mobile applications in the App Store.
  • Familiarity with backend integration, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Experience in responsive UI design and mobile performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of React state management libraries (Redux, Recoil, or similar).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Expo, Firebase, or other mobile backend services.
  • Familiarity with data visualization frameworks (D3.js, Victory, or similar).
  • Knowledge of iOS native development (Swift, Objective-C)
  • Experience with knowledge graphs, NLP, or AI-driven applications.
