ABOUT THE ROLE Store: Flatbush Status: PT Position Summary: The KITH Security Guard is imperative in the daily functions of the store's retail operations. The individual is professional, aware, and detailed oriented within the retail space. Ensuring the safety of store staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrance(s). Continuously contributes to the seamless operations of the store by managing any lines that form outside the store and helping in the execution of any product releases.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities: - Monitor entrance(s) of store, while managing traffic in and out of the store
- Check employee coats and bags upon entry & exit
- Handles undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons, and property
- Observe sales floor for potential theft and fraud
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Manage any lines/crowds that form outside of the store
- Provide support to both guests and team members in any safety, crowd management or crisis response situations
- Ensure the store is compliant with any building/city/state or federal ordinance regarding crowds inside and outside of the store
Special Projects/Tasks: - Assist in the execution of any in-store product releases, by managing and monitoring of crowds/lines formed prior and during regular store operating hours
- Follow the direction of Head of Security or General Manager in any emergency situations
REQUIREMENTS Experience: - 0-3 years as Security
- 0-3 years in Loss Prevention preferred but not required
- 0-3 years in a customer facing environment
- 1+ years in a Retail/Apparel environment
- State of Florida D License is preferred but not required
Availability: - Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as holidays.
Skills/Abilities: - Effective communication with both internal and external customers
- Crowd management
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to de-escalate conflicts

Kith was founded by Ronnie Fieg, a prominent figure in the footwear industry, who has over twenty years of hands-on experience. Born and raised in Queens, Fieg has been involved in the footwear industry since becoming a stock boy at New York-based franchise David Z. at age 12. With steadfast perseverance, he methodically rose through the ranks from floor salesman to assistant manager to eventually becoming head buyer. Collaborating with brands that have stood the test of time, Kith aligns itself with brands and ideations from Fieg's childhood that cohesively formalized the roots of his upbringing. Conceptualizing Kith as an extension of himself, Fieg seeks to shift the current landscape of fashion, while operating under a personal philosophy of giving the consumer more than what they pay for.
