Job Description

Role Introduction

We're seeking a Senior Product Data Analyst to drive data-informed decision making across our AI employee platform. You will be responsible for leading analytical initiatives, developing insightful models, and translating complex data into strategic recommendations that guide our product development. As a key member of our product team, you'll establish data frameworks and methodologies that help us improve user experience and business performance. This role offers the opportunity to significantly influence product strategy and growth in an exciting startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex analytical projects that inform product strategy, user experience improvements, and business growth initiatives for our AI employee platform.
  • Design and implement comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems that effectively communicate key product metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.
  • Partner with product managers to define success metrics for features, establish measurement frameworks, and conduct thorough pre and post-launch analyses.
  • Develop and execute sophisticated analytical approaches including cohort analyses, funnel conversion optimization, retention modeling, and experimental design.
  • Build predictive models to forecast user behavior, identify growth opportunities, and help prioritize product roadmap decisions based on expected impact.
  • Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives that drive product decisions across the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement proper data instrumentation and collection methodologies that support effective product analytics.
  • Mentor junior analysts while establishing best practices, documentation standards, and analytical frameworks for the broader team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or related field, preferably at a SaaS or AI company.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Grafana), with the ability to create intuitive dashboards that tell compelling data stories.
  • Experience with statistical programming languages like Python or R for more complex analyses and modeling beyond what SQL can provide.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts, experimental design, and causal inference, with proven experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex analytical problems, from framing the right questions to delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working directly with product and engineering teams to implement data tracking and measurement strategies that balance technical constraints with analytical needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to product problems, such as user segmentation, propensity modeling, or recommendation systems.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of product management methodologies and product development lifecycles.
  • Experience with user research and qualitative methods that complement quantitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI assistants, workplace automation, or enterprise productivity tools.
  • Background in developing user segmentation models and personalization strategies.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment where analytics directly influenced product decisions.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy considerations, and ethical data practices.
