Job Description

Job Title: Account Executive – eCommerce Technology for CPG brands

Why Pear Matters in this world

E-commerce hasn’t evolved as fast as the internet.

While the internet has progressed from portals to social media—empowering individuals, creators, and communities—e-commerce technology remains centralized and product-focused. At Pear.Us (read: Pair Us), we believe the future of commerce is decentralized, community-driven, and centered around people and content—not just products.

We’re building a decentralized commerce platform where content, creators, and communities drive transactions. We’ve developed a highly differentiated product, and now we’re ready to scale.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we're looking to build a dynamic founding team passionate about identifying opportunities, driving hyper-growth, disrupting markets, and achieving bold milestones.

Position: Account Executive - eCommerce Tech

Location: Palo Alto (On-site preferred)

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary + early equity

This is a high impact role at Pear

As an early member of the sales team, you’ll be on the front lines driving the growth of our DTC partnership ecosystem in the CPG category. Your mission: help high-growth DTC brands adopt our technology and elevate their sales figure and brand building on social media. You’ll work closely with startup founders, growth marketers, and operations teams—owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to close and onboarding.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role with direct visibility to leadership and influence over product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.

What You’ll Do

You will own the full sales cycle – from prospecting and qualifying to closing new business with DTC brands in the CPG category, build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads through outbound efforts, referrals, and industry networking, Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Refine the pitch based on customer feedback and use case validation.

Month 2-3

  • Develop a scalable, repeatable sales process.
  • Contribute to monetization strategy and pricing.
  • Help build distribution and acquisition engines to scale revenue.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You...

  • Have 3–5 years of experience in SaaS or AdTech sales, particularly selling to eCommerce or DTC brands.
  • Have consistently met or exceeded quotas with limited resources.
  • Are a strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity but executes with urgency.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively—whether pitching, negotiating, or collaborating.
  • Understand the digital advertising ecosystem—performance marketing, attribution, paid social, etc.
  • Have sold into Shopify or related brands, performance agencies, or similar.
  • Have experience with media buying, attribution tools, or marketing analytics.

Bonus Points For...

  • Track record of delivering critical results with urgency at an early-stage startup or high-growth company.
  • Direct experience working with or for DTC brands.
  • A track record of thriving in chaotic, zero-to-one environments.

This Role Is Not a Fit If…

  • Need structured processes and step-by-step instructions.
  • Prefer task execution over problem ownership.
  • Struggle with ambiguity or fast-moving priorities.

What We Offer:

  • A chance to help build the future of eCommerce—powered by content, creators, and community.
  • A high-energy, collaborative team culture.
  • Direct access to founders and a front-row seat to the company’s growth.
  • Competitive compensation + equity with meaningful upside.

Our Culture in Action

  • Wow the Customer: Always go beyond what’s expected—every interaction, asset, or workflow should reflect our commitment to quality, care, and user delight.
  • Influence Without Authority : Work cross-functionally to align stakeholders, drive clarity, and move initiatives forward—even when you don’t have formal decision-making power.
  • Dive Deep: Always investigate the root cause—dig into the data and understand what’s really happening.
  • Ruthless Prioritization: Focus on the highest-impact problems. Say no often so you can say yes to what matters most.
  • Simplify: The simplest solution is often the best. Find fixes that are fast to ship and easy to maintain.
