Your Role

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated treatment team, including our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses, to address the clinical needs of your patients and support their overall well-being.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

Curious about how you’ll make a positive impact? Here are some of your essential functions:

  • Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork with patients.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and psychosocial assessments.
  • Identify and address clinical/case management needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
  • Engage in at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
  • Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
  • Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and protect proprietary data.

Essential Qualifications

Education/Licensure/Certification: Qualified candidates must have an active CADC.

Experience Required: Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not required.
