Television Production Director Part-Time 2023-029 Posted on: Mar 31, 2023 Profile The City of Chicopee’s M.I.S. (ChicopeeTV) is hiring a Television Production Director who is responsible for part-time production of PEG television broadcasts, content, training, support, and operations for the City of Chicopee.

SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

Provide technical multimedia and television broadcast support services to residents, local government, and other entities in collaboration with Chicopee TV. Responsible for developing, producing, and directing television programming for local Origination and Educational Access Channels. Manage live streaming content in parallel with live television broadcast. Maintain a social media presence for Chicopee TV as needed. Provide management of the cablecast system workflow and programming. Conduct classes and provide instruction consistent with the philosophy and goals of Chicopee TV. Train community-based staff for local programming. Perform similar or related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be minimally qualified for this position, one must meet the following criteria: Associate degree is required. Intensive knowledge of the specialized field of television broadcasting, information technology, and multimedia production. Two years professional experience working at either a commercial or educational television station. Experience in producing and directing television programming. Knowledge of cable TV distribution systems, HD studio and HDTV mobile video production equipment. Familiarity with video production equipment and non-linear editing systems. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical signal flow. Ability to coordinate the activities of both human and mechanical elements of a video production.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

This is a part-time, 10-hour work week position with pay of $25.00 per hour.
