Job Description

Sentara Therapy Center BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to work a 14-week assignment! This is a temporary full-time day shift position working 40 hours per week at $65.00/hr with no benefits. The role involves performing modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures. The therapist provides effective instruction to patients and families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Responsibilities include initiating, developing, and maintaining collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes. The therapist is productive and efficient in daily operations, selects and performs appropriate assessment procedures, and establishes and updates formal plans of care to address individual patient needs. Required licensure must be valid in the state of practice. Education required is a Bachelor’s Level Degree in Physical Therapy. Certification/Licensure required includes a Physical Therapist License (PT) in Virginia and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Previous physical therapy experience is preferred, with ortho and neuro experience required.
