Warehouse and Inventory Specialist I
Responsibilities:
• Perform general warehouse tasks, shipping, receiving, and storage of IT equipment, to include FedEx freight shipping as well as FedEx Express shipping.
• Contribute to the smooth operations of the warehouse and support the US DOJ EOIR’s mission.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials and equipment deliveries.
· Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse Manager for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
· Other warehouse duties and tasks as assigned.
· Daily logging of equipment deliveries and shipments into Inventory Management System or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Entry-level warehouse and shipping experience is a plus.
• Entry-level IT experience is a plus.
• Possess good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience utilizing handheld scanners preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with Inventory and Warehouse management.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices in an industrial/warehouse environment.
• Ability to drive a forklift
Clearance Requirements:
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 plus lbs. and maintain continuous mobility throughout the warehouse.
• Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
• Must be able to unload incoming deliveries to warehouse space using moving equipment or by hand.
• Comfortable working in an industrial/warehouse environment on a daily basis to include usage of warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand cart, and others.
