Remedy (a division of Employbridge) is very excited to partner with a global leader in manufacturing as they embark on an urgent search for a skilled Welder to join their team in Lancaster, NY on a DIRECT HIRE basis! This Welder will be tasked with building/welding custom products from raw materials, following blueprints/schematics. Check out more great details below!

Compensation: $23+/hour negotiation available based on candidates' skill level

Shift:  This is a 1st shift position! 6am - 2:30pm, M-F

Here are the essential job functions for this Welder:

• Welds metal components together using spot welding, TIG, MIG and stick techniques.
• Builds/welds custom products from prints/raw materials.
• Fabricates and welds non-ASME code components.
• Sets up welders, fabricates (bends, cuts, welds, and drills) grinds and shears.
• Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

We are actively searching for skilled Welders with the following background profile:

• High school diploma/GED is required
• Relevant Technical/Vocational school training/certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience of welding sheet metal.
• Ability to understand and follow written work instructions/schematics.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools such as tape measure, wrenches, drills, etc.
• Basic level math skills including fractions and decimals and an understanding of angles.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel.
• Computer skills including MS Office .
