We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Safety, Quality, and Environmental Officer. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in leading our company's commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Policy Leadership: Lead the establishment, interpretation, and development of organizational policies regarding safety, quality, and environmental practices.
Technical Direction: Provide expert guidance and leadership on related issues, ensuring adherence to budget, schedules, and performance standards.
Personnel Supervision: Supervise team members and establish support contracts as necessary.
Strategic Planning: Develop long-term plans, goals, and strategies for the department, including budget management and allocation.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulations, providing timely guidance and technical services to both internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate safety, quality, and environmental risks associated with company facilities, programs, and activities.
Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required, with an advanced degree preferred in safety, environmental studies, engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of seven years of industry experience, including two years in a supervisory role, with a focus on establishing safety, quality, and environmental programs.
Certifications: While not required, certifications such as ISO Auditor Certification, ASP, or CSP are preferred.
Licenses: A valid driver's license is necessary for business-related travel.
