Job Description

A middle school position is available for an educator skilled in General Education with a focus on English Language Arts (ELA). This is a contract role for the full school year, located in Carmel, IN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned with curriculum standards to middle school students.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and materials that support student learning and comprehension.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching General Education, specifically English Language Arts at the middle school level.
• Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate middle school students.
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure preferred.

Location: Carmel, Indiana
