Job Description: Human Factors Engineer/Instructional Designer Supports the Instruction Design and Human Factors Engineering/Usability Engineering (HFE) teams by documenting, reviewing, and checking instruction materials, including Instructions for Use (IFUs) for combination products and drug delivery devices. Responsibilities include reviewing content copy, layout, illustrations, graphical elements for IFUs, carton artwork, and device labeling. Collaborates with designers, HF engineers, and artwork teams. Ensures accuracy and conducts instruction checks with quick turnarounds to support iterative usability studies. Maintains records of changes and supports process improvement initiatives related to labeling procedures. Key Qualifications: 4-6 years of experience reviewing medical device IFUs, with proficiency in rapid sketching, digital line-art illustration, and photo editing. 2-4 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Word, and Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visio is a plus. High attention to detail and accuracy in work deliverables. Background in medical, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals. Reliable, punctual, flexible, and skilled at managing multiple projects with strong organizational and communication skills.
