Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Lincolnshire, IL (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote after 30 days)

Industry: Manufacturing

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 + Bonus

Job Description: The HR Generalist will be responsible for various HR functions, including compliance, payroll, employee relations, and benefits administration. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and contribute to HR policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 115 employees.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and administer disability and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Coordinate employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Oversee workplace compliance with OSHA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, and other labor regulations.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including performance review tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years in an HR Generalist role (not seeking candidates with 8+ years or those looking for rapid promotion to HR Manager).
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Construction, Healthcare, or Retail industries preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with ADP, Absorb LMS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe, DocuSign) a plus.
  • Strong payroll processing, employee relations, and benefits administration experience preferred.
  • SHRM certification or AA (Affirmative Action) knowledge is a plus.
