POSITION SUMMARY
Charter Oak Health Center is seeking a Part time Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of prescriptions and medical products to patients within the service area of Charter Oak Health Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service skills, safe and efficient driving. This role ensures that medications are delivered in compliance with all regulatory standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the organization's commitment to exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations :
Vehicle Maintenance:
• Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Perform basic vehicle upkeep, such as fueling, cleaning, and reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor promptly.
Patient Interaction:
Compliance and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Comply with all traffic and safety regulations, as well as confidentiality standards related to patient information.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools.
• Bilingual in both Spanish and English preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to drive for extended periods and make frequent stops.
• Capability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to adverse weather during deliveries.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.
• Must maintain appropriate attendance.
Experience:
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting or delivery role is preferred.
• Familiarity with handling prescriptions and understanding of regulatory compliance standards is advantageous.
