Position: Sales Rep - Battery Materials / Specialty Chemicals

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Travel: 35–50%+ domestic and international

Overview:
System One is assisting a global battery materials and specialty chemical company in hiring a Sales Rep to support its North American growth strategy. This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in The Woodlands, TX.


The Sales Representative will support the company's commercial efforts by managing customer accounts and driving new business development in the battery and energy storage sectors. This role will work closely with technical and product teams to ensure customer needs are met with precision and speed. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of battery materials, strong interpersonal skills, and a growth-oriented mindset.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Materials, or related field
• 1-3 years experience in B2B sales
• Foundational knowledge of the battery materials industry
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a technical environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Fluency in English. additional language proficiency is a plus, but this role is selling to and communicating with the American market
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%), including regular domestic trips and international events

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow customer relationships with energy storage and battery manufacturers
• Support onboarding and product rollout with new and existing accounts
• Identify sales opportunities, gather market intelligence, and support commercial planning
• Serve as the bridge between customers and internal technical teams
• Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Prepare regular sales activity reports and provide customer feedback
