ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.

\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work in a 26-bed Surgical Intensive Care Center (SICC) caring for thoracic and vascular surgery patients
\n• Maintain 1:4 patient ratios on all shifts
\n• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
\n• 2 years of experience required, first-timers accepted
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
\n• Must have Missouri license or compact state license (both Kansas and Missouri required for floating)
\n• Float within service line and to all MICC units as needed
\n• Care for complex post-operative patients with multiple co-morbidities
\n• Post-operative care includes: CABG, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repair, esophagectomy, thoracotomy, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, amputations, and bypass procedures
\n• Manage chest tubes, epicardial wires, temporary pacemakers, wound vacs, multiple IV drips, telemetry monitoring
\n• Administer blood products, manage central venous access, perform dressing changes and wound care
\n• Provide epidural/PCA pain management and tracheostomy care
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Complete 10-15 hours of pre-start compliance modules
\n• Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed before start date
\n• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
\n• No guaranteed hours, locals not accepted (must live 75+ miles from facility)

The facility serves as a major teaching hospital providing comprehensive cardiac and vascular surgical services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
